Things to Do
Ojai hosts several festivals annually, providing residents with endless fun and entertainment. The Ojai Wine Festival, Ventura Counties' longest-running wine festival, takes place by the scenic Lake Casitas. This festival features unlimited beer and wine tasting, a beer garden with over thirty craft beers, and a selection of local restaurants and gourmet food trucks selling delicious food.
The Ojai Valley Lavender Festival demonstrates and promotes the many uses of lavender to educate the public and potential farmers about the benefits of plants that celebrate the city’s Mediterranean climate. Guests can enjoy live music, food vendors, and the soothing aroma of lavender wafting through the air. The Lavender Festival even gives back to the community by offering scholarships for education in agriculture, or the benefits of lavender, to Ojai residents.
April is Ojai Pixie Month — one of the most exciting times of the year. Ojai’s unique climate offers ideal growing conditions for the small, sweet tangerines. They are honored annually with this community-wide celebration. Residents can visit local grocers or Farmers’ Markets to see, smell, and taste why Ojai is famous for these delicious citrus fruits.
For 75 years, the Ojai Music Festival has been a hallmark for innovative musical experiences with a narrative curated by a different music director each year. Each music director is given the freedom and resources to imagine four days of musical exploration, creating a unique lineup to express their creativity. Guests can also access food vendors, gifts, mementos, and souvenirs
