Things to Do

Due to the fertile land and mild climate, Oxnard is known for its mass export of strawberries. Strawberries are such a part of the culture that the city throws the Califonia Strawberry Festival each year. The Salsa Festival celebrates all things salsa– the sauce and the dance. Guests can sample dozens of different salsa flavors and get in the grove with live salsa bands and a 2,000-square-foot dance floor. This two-day-long festival also features a vendor marketplace, rides, games, crafts, and a salsa dance contest.
