Welcome to Ventura

A laid back beach community, known for sand, surf, and family!

Nestled between the California hills and the majestic coastline, Ventura is one of the fastest-growing communities in Southern California. The warm Mediterranean climate, gorgeous views, and thriving culture make this city a popular choice for California residents. Commuters will appreciate the proximity to Los Angeles in the South and Santa Barbara in the North.
The city is primarily residential with a nice blend of outdoor spaces, with shopping and dining options providing residents with all the amenities of a big city. Ventura also boasts an impressive park system, including over 30 parks, historic sites, and several festivals and celebrations.

What to Love

Local Lifestyle

Ventura is known for its vibrant culture and friendly citizens who actively contribute to improving the community. This lively town has everything you need from a big city while maintaining that small-town charm with an active calendar of events focused on bringing residents together. Friends and family can enjoy a meal at a local restaurant or cafe or stroll through one of the public parks around town.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

There are plenty of shopping options throughout Ventura. In fact, famed clothing brand Patagonia got its start right here in the city. Shoppers can visit the brand’s headquarters and browse through a curated selection of Patagonia clothing and gear. They also have a consistent schedule of community events, yoga classes, and a warm, welcoming staff. If you’re looking for home decor, Passport Habits is a locally-owned home goods shop offering gorgeous and handmade unique pieces. They sell everything from kitchen goods, to living room decor, rugs, and textiles.
Amazing seafood is easy to find in Ventura. Lure Fish House is a family-owned establishment serving fresh, sustainable seafood from local sources. Their menu features various dishes such as oysters, fresh sea bass, and shrimp pasta infused with tequila. There is even a full bar with specialty cocktails made with fresh fruit juices. Rumfish Y Vino is another fantastic seafood restaurant offering a more casual vibe that is perfect for the whole family. Guests can have their pick of fresh seafood, burgers, salads, or the brunch menu.

There are many options outside of seafood for diners who want to expand their palettes. Peirano’s is a family-owned Italian restaurant dedicated to outstanding service and pleasing the community. Cafe Nouveau is a small California-style cafe serving classic American dishes with a Mexican twist.
